Two missions – Salzburg: Woman (19) trapped in a car accident

Date:

The Strobl volunteer fire brigade (Salzburg) had to respond to two accidents on the Wolfgangsee federal road on Tuesday. While the clean-up was just underway in the early afternoon, the fire brigade had to rescue a seriously injured person at the end of the afternoon.

Around 6 p.m., a woman from Upper Austria (19) wanted to turn left with her car from a gas station in Strobl onto Wolfgangsee Bundesstrasse (B158). However, she overlooked the car of a 27-year-old Hungarian woman driving towards Salzburg. A collision then occurred, sending both vehicles into the oncoming lane. The 19-year-old was trapped and had to be freed by the Strobl volunteer fire brigade.

She suffered injuries of an undetermined nature and was taken to the Bad Ischl clinic by an emergency team after initial treatment. Her sister, who was traveling with her, and the 27-year-old Hungarian woman were slightly injured in the collision. An alcohol test on the drivers involved was negative.

Prisoners already released
The Strobl fire brigade had to respond to a new collision in the afternoon. However, when the fire brigade arrived, the occupants of the two cars that had also collided in Wolfgangseestraat had already been freed from their car. The Strobler Fire Department only had to secure the accident scene and conduct cleanup.
