The man found dead on a cycle path in the Viennese Donaustadt district on Monday afternoon died in a fall. The 42-year-old Pole suffered serious head injuries.
As reported, a passerby found the man lifeless on the ground in an underpass on the cycle path on Wagramer Straße. The professional rescue service could no longer do anything for him; his death was confirmed at the scene around 2:30 p.m.
The man’s identity and cause of death were initially completely unclear. Intensive research was immediately begun in all directions.
During the autopsy, foul play could now be ruled out with certainty. The serious fall from his bicycle meant the Pole’s downfall.
