After the horror discovery in a cellar in Vienna-Margareten, where construction workers came across a decomposed body, the “Krone” now has the autopsy results. What was already suspected is confirmed: the body is the victim of a murder.
After Tuesday’s horrors in Vienna’s Grätzel Hundsturm, the following shocking news arrived on Friday: as the “Krone” heard, several defensive wounds were discovered on the body during the autopsy. The severely decomposed body is said to have stab wounds to the hands, upper body and neck.
Missing person reports are being searched
The deceased was said to have been buried under the rubble in the basement for about a year. Influences such as moisture and cold in the basement make it difficult to assess the degradation process.
The case presents the investigators with a delicate task: although the gender of the murder victim has been identified – it is said to be a very young man – the murder team of the State Criminal Investigation Department must now, among other things, report all the missing persons in recent months.
The investigation is in full swing and the perpetrator(s) are being sought.
Discovered by construction workers
The dead body was found by construction workers who were carrying out renovation work at the apartment complex. While digging, the men became aware of a pungent odor and a plastic bag. Shortly afterwards the body was recovered from under a large amount of rubble.
