At least seven people, including an eight-year-old child, have been killed in an accident during a car race in Sri Lanka!
Police say 21 other people were injured when a race car veered off course and crashed into a group of spectators during a motor racing event on Sunday.
Police said one of the drivers drove into the crowd at an unprotected section of the military-run race track, about 180 kilometers east of Colombo.
Shortly before the accident, army chief Vikum Liyanage declared entry to the event, which took place for the first time in five years, free.
About 100,000 spectators attended the big event at the Fox Hill circuit, he said.
