The still unknown substance was released on Monday evening shortly after 8 p.m. in Lindenhofstrasse in Obertrum. Six people between the ages of three and 72 were injured in the incident. They probably inhaled the substance, which was no longer detectable in the evening.
The Red Cross was alerted around 8:15 p.m. with three ambulances and an emergency doctor. The medical emergency helicopter “Christophorus 6” was also requested.
The rescuers divided the people, some of whom were seriously injured, between the Salzburg State Hospital and the Salzburg Brothers of Mercy Hospital.
