Caught without a ticket – man (22) attacked train conductors in the Waldviertel

A 22-year-old allegedly attacked a train conductor (55) in Waldviertel, Lower Austria, and threw food at him around 9 p.m. on Monday. The man did not have a valid ticket with him. Advertisement!

The rioter should have been escorted off the train at Eggenburg train station (Horn district).

Train conductor was headbutted
The suspect hit the train conductor in the head, causing the 55-year-old to suffer a facial injury. According to police reports, the latter was treated by the rescue team on Tuesday and examined in hospital.

The 22-year-old was reported to the Horn district administration for disturbing public order. The Krems Public Prosecutor’s Office was also involved. This includes damage to property, bodily injury and a physical attack on employees of an institution that operates public transport and who are charged with certain tasks.

The man from the Horn district was temporarily arrested and reported.
