On Wednesday evening, a rocket hit the Ukrainian port city of Odessa, causing a major fire. According to a report, a shipping company warehouse at the port was hit. A Russian statement was initially not available.
Reuters news agency cannot verify the information. Odessa has been repeatedly targeted by Russian attacks. Three deaths were already reported on Wednesday evening. According to the mayor, three other people were injured. The enemy had already claimed responsibility for this attack. The Defense Ministry in Moscow said the air force was both observing and actively deploying. The attack was carried out with rockets and artillery.

School and administration building affected
Ukraine’s Southern Command said residential and administrative buildings, as well as medical facilities and schools, were affected. The majority of Ukrainian grain exports pass through the port of Odessa on the Black Sea. The Russian army repeatedly attacks the city and its port with missiles and drones. On Monday alone, five people were killed in an attack (see video above).
Two dead in Kharkov
At least two deaths were also reported in the northeastern Ukrainian region of Kharkiv on Wednesday. They were killed when a car was hit, the regional governor said. After him, two other people were injured. A residential building was hit in this attack. Damaged houses were reported in the region’s capital, but no injuries were reported.
