The dive of a group of three ended tragically on Thursday at Lake Attersee in Upper Austria. One of the athletes got into trouble on the infamous Black Bridge. The three initially fled to the coast. The emergency services quickly arrived on the scene, but were ultimately unable to save the diver.
Shortly after 4 p.m., several rescue workers rushed to the accident scene in Steinbach, between Seefeld and Alexenau. Initially there were several injuries. On site it turned out that only one diver was seriously injured. Resuscitation measures were immediately initiated, but the man could not be saved.
