Who has priority? This question sparked a heated discussion in a large family divided into two cars. Only when the police showed up did the six men gather and together attack the men in uniform. Two officers had to go to the hospital.
Apparently it doesn’t take much for the fuses of six family members from the Lower Austrian districts of Gmünd and Zwettl to blow. The 18 to 39-year-old men demonstrated this impressively on Friday afternoon in Waidhofen an der Thaya.
Trigger on the roundabout
The extended family was split between two cars when one driver gave way to the other on the roundabout near the warehouse. The situation quickly escalated and it was decided to meet at the neighboring shopping center to discuss matters. But words soon became actions. T-shirts were torn and punches were thrown. Witnesses eventually called 911.
Officers immediately attacked
However, when the first patrol arrived, the fighters spontaneously joined forces again. Immediately two of them and a little later all six attacked the two officers and pushed them to the ground. Both were later taken to hospital with injuries. You are currently on sick leave.
The reinforcements called in in the form of six additional patrol cars were also received extremely aggressively. The men could only be arrested through pepper spray and great physical violence. They were taken to the police station for questioning and released a short time later on the orders of the public prosecutor. They must answer for their resistance to state authority.
