The Kremlin has issued an appeal against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. A list from the Moscow Ministry of Internal Affairs states that Zelensky is wanted as a criminal. The reason is unknown.
Because Zelensky is not on Russian territory, the search is seen as a symbolic act and has no direct impact on the Ukrainian head of state. The Kremlin has in the past put other high-ranking politicians on its wanted list, such as Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas.
Putin wanted on arrest warrant
Russian President Vladimir Putin himself is wanted by the International Criminal Court on an arrest warrant. The war in Ukraine is officially justified, among other things, by the alleged oppression of the Russian-speaking population.
From Ukraine’s perspective, the situation on the front is currently very difficult. Thus, a breakthrough of Russian troops in the eastern region of Donetsk was confirmed. The most recent Russian attacks took place in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Six people were injured, including a child. Several residential buildings, storage areas where fire broke out and a critical infrastructure object were damaged.
Again attacks on the energy supply
The military governor responsible left it unclear what exactly this facility was. Since the end of March, Russian forces have renewed their attacks on Ukraine’s energy supplies. According to government figures, around 80 percent of the heat supply has already been lost.
