Three particularly daring impostors were out and about in Salzburg on Thursday. Under the pretext, they came to the home of a 90-year-old and then stole from the older woman.
Around noon on Thursday, a woman and two female teenagers rang the doorbell of a 90-year-old woman from Salzburg. The three women complained of thirst, and the helpful older woman allowed the strangers into the house. When they arrived in the kitchen, the three impostors sent the 90-year-old out of the room.
After they left the home, the woman noticed that a wooden box containing cash and a sum of money had been stolen from her wallet. The damage is in the low five figure range. The police investigation is ongoing.
