The Basque government’s budget increases the housing program by 36% in 2025 with 286 million euros

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda will manage a budget of 446 million euros in 2025. Next year, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda will have a total budget of 446 million euros, of which 317 million are own resources and 129 million European funds.

In addition, he indicated that the Housing Program will increase by 35.9%, from 210.8 million euros in 2024 to 286 million euros for the year 2025, with an increase in investment capacity of 75 million euros. The total housing budget, added to the 122 million Next Funds that the ministry has collected, amounts to 408 million eurosIn this sense, he recalled that this legislature will promote the supply of 7,000 affordable rental housing, 50% of which will be allocated to young people under 36 years of age, an objective included in the 2025 budget, where investments in rental 248, reach 5. million euros and represents 61% of the expenditure on the housing program, 44 million more than in 2024.

39% of the remaining expenditure on the housing programme, which reaches a total of €159.8 million, is expenditure attributable to rehabilitation policies. Rehabilitation grants to individuals and communities of property owners amount to 41.2 million, a growth of 17.1 million compared to 2024.
