On May 7, 8 and 9, the ELA union called on workers at the hospital center outsourced by Osakidetza to strike in defense of the collective agreement.
The Red Cross Hospital of Bilbao will hold tomorrow, May 7, the first strike day of the three called (May 7, 8 and 9) by the ELA union in the hospital center, where about 100 people work.
Cruz Roja Bilbao works for Osakidetza and 90% of its activities are outsourced by public health. “However, the working conditions are worse than those of Osakidetza. They have been losing purchasing power for years and have longer working hours. In addition, management is proposing setbacks to extend the agreement,” the ELA union explains.
For this reason, tomorrow they will hold a demonstration that starts at the Basurto Hospital and ends in front of the Red Cross Hospital (Alameda Urkijo, 65), and several demonstrators will come with wheelchairs, to symbolize the situation of the staff.
