In Passau, two Schärdingers managed to save a 24-year-old waiter from an attacking “wild horde” at the very last moment. The attackers allegedly chased the man with a broken glass bottle. With the car door open, the people from Innviertel managed to get the victim to safety.
“We were all terrified” – Marcel Moritz (33) and his friend Stefan Hauser (37) from Schärding probably saved the life of a 24-year-old waiter in Passau.
Half a dozen attackers
“We were about to leave and were about to park near the university around 12:30 when a man ran up to us, opened the door and jumped inside,” Moritz said. “They want to stab me,” the stranger shouted, and the people of Innviertel could no longer close the door because six young Syrians reached the BMW so quickly.
Collision with car
“They pulled his legs, Stefan held him down. They hit and kicked the car and shouted that they were killing us,” reports Marcel, who stepped on the gas with the door still open and only stopped at a gas station. The doors were then closed and the police were notified.
High material damage
Three young migrants were arrested by police but have now been released. “That is incomprehensible to me. They threatened to kill us and had a broken bottle with them,” said Marcel Moritz, whose car suffered 7,750 euros in damage. According to the victim, the men attacked him for no reason.
