There was a colorful display in the night sky across large parts of Northern Europe on Saturday evening. Many readers captured this spectacle in photos and sent them to krone.at. We would like to share the most special of these with you here…
Reader reporter Elias S. sent us the nightly display of colors in the firmament above Lower Austria. An impressive photo and also our story image.
Colorful light show above Upper Austria
We received two equally impressive photos from Upper Austria from reader reporter Erika H. and reader reporter Alois K.. Both photos impressively show the nighttime natural spectacle caused by solar storms.
Sky above Kitzbühel
There is also a fascinating sight in the view that reader-reporter Walter R. sent us. Here you can see the Northern Lights, also called the Northern Lights, in all their splendor in Tyrol.
Beautiful view
This nighttime photo was taken in Ellmau am Wilden Kaiser and was captured by reader reporter Dieter L. The lights are created when the plasma emitted by solar flares hits the Earth’s magnetic field.
Impressive recordings
Reader reporter Hans W. also sent us a great photo of the natural spectacle in the nighttime firmament above Styria.
Were you also able to observe the Northern Lights? Which shot impressed you the most? Feel free to share your experiences with us in the comments!
So you still have a chance
By the way: Sunday evening you still have a chance to see the Northern Lights. According to experts, there is a good chance that you will discover them in the air.
