When a Viennese woman in Vienna-Wieden opened the door of her apartment on Sunday evening, she could not believe her eyes: there were two men in her apartment. The strangers immediately fled and the woman’s keys, a tablet and her debit card were stolen. The police were able to arrest the bandits.
It was around 2:45 a.m. when the woman entered her apartment. She couldn’t look too quickly before the two unknown guests fled. The tenant immediately called the police emergency number.
The police were able to quickly find the men
Based on the precise description of the person, officers of the Vienna police were able to quickly arrest two suspects during the search. These are two Austrians aged 35 and 41. The victim’s debit card was recovered from the suspected perpetrators.
Apartment key stolen
The thieves also stole an apartment key and a tablet. “The 41-year-old admitted the allegations during interrogation. Both suspects were taken to prison after consultation with the Viennese public prosecutor’s office,” police spokesman Philipp Haßlinger said on Monday.
