There was another bloody knife attack in Vienna-Favoriten on Sunday. After a passerby (57) tried to break up an argument between two men, one of them seriously injured him with a knife.
The attack took place near Inzersdorfer Strasse around 7 p.m. When the 57-year-old wanted to end the heated argument, the 37-year-old suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the 57-year-old in the thigh. Shortly afterwards the suspect fled. The 57-year-old victim was taken to hospital after the attack.
Suspect arrested
The alerted police officers managed to track down the 37-year-old through witness statements on Monday afternoon and temporarily detain him. There is currently no trace of the murder weapon. The talks are still ongoing.
