Johannes Rauch played a leading role in the Rhesi flood protection project for many years. In the ‘Krone’ interview he talks about the need for new living spaces and what fascinates him most about the two billion euro measures.
“Kron”: Minister Rauch, the Rhesi project of the century is on track. How many years have you been working on it?
John Rauch: I can no longer determine the exact number of years. But in my role as State Environment Council, I was on the steering committee and involved in the constantly changing plans, different variants and also completed a large number of citizen information events. I have followed the entire process up to the current state treaty, up to a variant that can be submitted for the EIA.
