The helicopter carrying the president of Iran makes an emergency landing

The president’s condition is unknown. They have launched an operation to locate the device on which Raisí and other high-ranking officials of the country traveled, but so far without success due to unfavorable weather conditions.

One of the helicopters from a convoy carrying Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi has crash-landed and is missing, Iranian state TV reported, adding that rescue teams are on their way to the scene.

The Minister of the Interior, Ahmed Vahidi, confirmed this information and indicated that rescue teams are still on their way due to difficult weather conditions.

Authorities have not explained the cause of the “forced landing” and have launched an operation to locate the plane in which Raisí and other senior officials of the country were traveling, so far without success due to unfavorable weather conditions.

“After the announcement of the accident involving the helicopter carrying the president, rescue teams were sent,” Red Crescent President Babak Mahmoud told Iranian media.

The president’s condition is unknown.
