On Monday afternoon, the Viennese police in Simmering were alerted after a suspect (54) pointed a firearm at a group from his window.
Around 3 p.m. the suspect started insulting the group from his window. Shortly afterwards, he took out his gun and pointed it at her several times. A witness then immediately alerted the police.
Suspect cannot remember
Moments later, the alerted officers managed to temporarily arrest the 54-year-old in his apartment. The weapon was a blank firearm. It was secured. A temporary weapons ban was also imposed. The alcohol test showed approximately 2.3 per mille.
When questioned, the man said he could not remember the incident. He was generally reported.
