An eleven-year-old Eritrean was the victim of a racist attack in Berlin on Tuesday. He was suddenly insulted and beaten by several children on a public bus in the Kreuzberg district because of his skin color. The eleven-year-old fled and ended up in front of a car that was unable to brake in time.
As police reported, the boy suffered head injuries as a result of the blow and was taken to hospital by emergency services for inpatient treatment, where he remained on Wednesday.
Eight-year-old questioned by police
Particularly alarming: according to eyewitnesses, an eight-year-old boy was among the attackers. Investigators have now questioned him about the events on the bus. Nothing is yet known about the other suspects.
