A video of the kidnapping of five Israeli soldiers was released on Wednesday. They were used as army scouts. Her parents now hope that the horrific images will help secure the release of the Hamas hostages.
In the video, the wounded young women, some of whom are covered in blood, are seen alongside heavily armed terrorists. They appear scared and have their arms tied behind their backs. The kidnappers continue to shout at her and threaten her. The Israeli soldiers are first guarded in a room and then taken to a vehicle where they lie tightly packed on the ground.
Seven female scouts kidnapped
The video lasts about three minutes and is a compilation of bodycam footage of the terrorists. The worst scenes, such as serious violence or shots of corpses, were not shown. “On that terrible Saturday, fifteen female scouts were murdered and seven abducted alive from the Nachal Oz military base,” the statement said. One of them was rescued after 23 days, another was murdered in captivity. The Israeli army recovered her body in the Gaza Strip.
Pointless warnings
According to media reports, scouts at the Gaza Strip border repeatedly warned of suspicious activity to no avail. The Hamas attack on October 7 killed almost 1,200 people in the Gaza Strip and kidnapped more than 250 hostages. The families of those kidnapped now hope to use the recordings to help broker a deal between the Israeli government and Hamas. The government must “not waste another moment” and immediately return to the negotiating table.
The Israeli army recently recovered three dead hostages from the Gaza Strip, including the body of German-Israeli Shani Louk (see video above).
The terrorist attack on October 7 sparked Israel’s military offensive in the Gaza Strip. According to Hamas, more than 35,000 people have been killed so far.
