It’s time to practice early, thought a father who founded the family with his son (4) via ferrata “Zimmereben”. But it was probably so much for the little one. The mountain rescue team rescued the father-son team from their predicament.
Unfortunately, that did not go as expected: On Friday around 1:30 p.m., a German father (46) and his son (4) climbed the via ferrata of the “Zimmereben” family in Schwendau in Tyrol. This family via ferrata has a difficulty level of A/B. The two were each equipped with a via ferrata set.
Child did not come forward or back
When the child’s strength failed in the middle section of the via ferrata on difficulty level “B” and he could neither move forward nor backward, the father made an emergency call. Father and son were then rescued unharmed from the via ferrata by the Mayrhofen mountain rescue team.
