The French Open hasn’t even really started yet, but even on the qualifying days it was already busy on the grounds of Roland Garros. Fans left thousands of euros in the boutique, photographed themselves with the champions’ trophies – and gave the “crown” their winning tips.
Every morning at ten o’clock sharp, the loudspeakers of the Stade Roland Garros hear the announcement: “The gates are being opened!” At this signal, fans flow through the aforementioned entrances and arrive, welcomed by a chapel, in a small tennis paradise. The main target of the mass migration, which starts on the qualifying days, are of course the courts, but you often have to be patient while queuing to access them.
