At least three people were killed this morning in the Tal al Sultan camp, northwest of Ráfah, following yesterday’s attack that killed 50 Palestinians.
At least three Palestinians have been killed this Tuesday morning after new bombings by the Israeli army against the Tal al Sultan Displacement Camplocated in the town of Ráfah, in the northwestern Gaza Strip, just a day after Israeli forces killed at least 50 people, most of them civilians, in a similar attack.
Israel therefore continues to ignore international pressure, while the European Union has for the first time shown its willingness to retaliate if Tel Aviv does not comply with the orders of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to stop the offensive against Rafah.
In the attack this morning, a projectile hit a family tent and injured several people, Palestinian news agency WAFA said. In addition, another Palestinian was killed in a new attack on the same city where the Indonesian hospital. In the center of the Gaza Strip, two civilians were killed in the Bureij refugee camp, and two other people were killed in a new bomb attack on a house in Gaza City, in the north.
The attack on the camp yesterday, Monday, has led to a wave of criticism and condemnation at the international level, and according to diplomatic sources consulted by the television network Al Jazeera or CNN, the UN security council at the request of Algeria, is holding an emergency meeting behind closed doors to discuss these attacks.
The Israeli military confirmed the bombing, which killed two senior Hamas officials responsible for the West Bank, and acknowledged that “as a result of the attack and a fire that broke out in the area, several people other than those involved were injured” and he stated that he is “looking into” the incident. Afterwards, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) chief prosecutor described the event as “very serious” and stressed that an investigation was underway.
