On Tuesday evening, two seriously injured people (37 and 66) were injured in an accident in Burgau, Styria. The two cars collided together on the L402 for an unknown reason. The rescue helicopter also had to arrive.
A brutal accident took place on the L402 in Burgau on Tuesday afternoon. Around 5 p.m., a 37-year-old driver from the Güssing district of Bierbaum was driving towards Burgau when he collided with an oncoming car. Why this happened is still unclear.
Two people seriously injured
Both cars came to a stop in the ditch. The rescue helicopter had to arrive quickly because the 37-year-old was seriously injured. He was flown to LKH Graz. Miraculously, the other people traveling with him – his partner and his son – were not injured.
The 66-year-old driver of the second vehicle was also seriously injured and was taken to LKH Oberwart. The fire brigades of Burgau, Burgauberg, Bierbaum and Bad Blumau were also present. The L402 was difficult to pass for about an hour and a half.
