Four people injured – Family dispute: Hagen shooter arrested

A man seriously injured his pregnant wife and three other people by gunfire in Hagen, Germany, on Saturday. Since then, a major manhunt has been underway for the shooter. Now he was captured in a nearby forest area.

The suspect is said to have seriously injured four people at two crime scenes on Saturday morning. According to initial findings, the background to the crime was family related.

According to police, the shots were fired around 11 a.m. Saturday morning. Accordingly, the suspect from Hagen is said to have first seriously injured his wife with gunfire in their shared apartment in an apartment building. He then shot several times at the door of an apartment on the floor above. No one was injured there.

The 34-year-old Turkish national then drove a car to the hair salon and shot three other people there. According to the police, one of these victims was in mortal danger on Saturday evening. After the crime, the man drove his car to a nearby parking lot and fled on foot.

He then disappeared into a forest area near Hagen-Delstern, where he was arrested “without resistance”, according to the police. Special forces used a thermal imaging drone to search for the gunman on Saturday night. Elite police officers repeatedly drove armored vehicles into the forest.
