Putin keeps his private life very private. He has never confirmed that the two women are his daughters. But the family ties were widely reported in the media and the US Treasury Department described Vorontsova, 39, and Tikhonova, two years younger, as “daughters of Russian President Vladimir Putin” in a 2022 sanctions decision.
Until now, daughters were only guests at the economic forum
The women’s rare appearances took place at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, Russia’s most important event. They had attended the conference as guests in the past, but according to independent Russian media, this was the first time Vorontsova and Tikhonova appeared as part of the official program.
