A 30-year-old in Dorfgastein im Pongau was able to save his four-legged friend from a burning car in time on Friday afternoon. While driving, smoke came from the air conditioning. When the man stopped and wanted to open the hood, the car suddenly caught fire after a loud bang.
Shortly after he got his dog out of the vehicle, it was completely on fire, police said.
The 30-year-old was driving a company car on Gasteiner Straße (B167). The Dorfgastein volunteer fire brigade responded with 20 emergency services and was able to extinguish the fire after a short time. No one was injured.
