According to information from the Israeli army, the rescued hostages were kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 at the ‘Nova’ music festival.
The Israeli army on Saturday rescue of four hostages in two places in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the center of the Gaza Stripwhere it has carried out intense attacks.
The rescued hostages are Noa Argamani, 25, Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 40, who were kidnapped by Hamas at the Nova music festival on October 7, according to information from the Israeli army.
The liberation took place after a simultaneous operation against two Hamas militia hideouts ‘in the heart of the refugee camp’. Argamani was released from one of them and the other three hostages were safely removed from the second target.
They are all in good health and are already receiving medical attention at Tel Hashomer Hospital.
Nuseirat has been the scene of several bombings carried out by Israel this week, the latest on Saturday, which have so far resulted in at least 15 deaths and dozens of injuries, according to Palestinian medical sources.
With this rescue, of the 251 kidnapped on October 7, 116 prisoners remain in the enclave, including at least 40 dead according to Israel – more than 70 according to Hamas –; while there have been four other hostages for years, two of whom are dead.
The release of the hostages has led to a postponement of the appearance of the Israeli war cabinet minister Bennie Gantzwho had predictably called the media on Saturday at 8:40 PM local time (7:40 PM in Euskal Herria) announce that he is withdrawing from the emergency government.
