Charges have been filed against a 34-year-old non-commissioned officer in Upper Austria for allegedly sexually assaulting four conscripts and professional soldiers.
According to the “Oberösterreichisches Volksblatt”, the man is accused of sexually abusing four soldiers between 2013 and 2021 while they were sleeping. In the case of one man – originally there were five victims – the investigation was stopped for evidential reasons, the prosecutor said. The penalty for sexually assaulting a defenseless person is one to ten years in prison. A trial date has not yet been set.
Recruit reported
The suspect was on duty at Vogler Air Base in Hörsching from 2016 until the incidents became known. A recruit filed a complaint in February 2021 and initiated the case.
