Every year, hundreds of Salzburg residents seek help from the Chamber of Labor. The laws surrounding disability pensions have been tightened. Since then, many have been confronted with existential fears.
What happens now? This question concerns employee Günther K.. The Salzburger has been partially paralyzed since a stroke. After his sick leave ends, he fears for his existence. The Salzburg Labor Chamber now wants to help.
The number of AK consultations is particularly high this year
The worker has no individual destiny. Many “Krone” readers report very similar experiences. “Such cases are our daily bread. Our consultations are noticeably increasing this year,” confirms Ulrike Oberauer, lawyer at the Social Insurance Department of AK. Every year the Chamber of Labor fights for disability or disability pensions or ‘rehabilitation money’ for around 700 people in Salzburg.
Those affected are often desperate
“The legal basis has changed enormously. This makes it more difficult to retire,” says the lawyer. Those affected are often desperate. You have been ill for a long time and have had to go through a process between the AMS, the health insurer and the pension insurer.
Almost every second person is ultimately right
Advice from Ulrike Oberauer: Go to the AK quickly. After all, their success rate is almost 50 percent. Salzburg’s AK President Peter Eder demands for the future: “Working conditions must be designed in such a way that there are no disability or disability pensions.”
Disability pension not age-related
The disability pension is not age-related. It is granted if the pension insurance recognizes permanent disability. Günther K. (48) did not see this.
