There are terrible allegations: a 62-year-old man from Riesa in the German state of Saxony is said to have murdered his mother (88). Her body was found bricked up in the basement of his home in early June. There is an initial suspicion of intentional manslaughter, the investigating authorities said Friday.
The man is accused of murdering his mother about six to twelve months ago. Both lived in a house in Riesa in Saxony northwest of the capital Dresden.
Son taken to hospital after fall
The 62-year-old was found helpless and seriously injured in his home on June 1, after a fall and taken to a hospital. Because the mother was not in the house and the neighbors had not seen her for a long time, a closer look was taken, a spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office said.
The woman was found in the basement. An autopsy initially gave no indications of an unnatural cause of death. It therefore remains a first suspicion for the time being, according to the Public Prosecution Service. The investigations continued. According to the public prosecutor, all tracks are now being evaluated.
