This Saturday it’s that time again: the multiverse in Schwechat will vibrate again when the special edition “Sparta-Royale” takes place for the second time. After the sold-out event in February, this time no cuts will be made to stars from the MMA scene. Among others, the Croatian Agron Smak, who asked krone.tv for an interview (see video above), is fighting.
The first edition of Sparta Royale in the Schwechater Multiverse offered more than five hours of pure action in February. Fans can expect something similar on Saturday. In addition to the six battle combinations, there will also be two Grand Prix battles. The Grand Prix pits eight fighters against each other in a knockout match to determine the winner. “It definitely has a future, that’s what people want to see,” Agron Smak is convinced. Die Agron Smak, who will fight the main fight in Schwechat on Saturday.
Enemies under observation
“I came back to Europe from America especially to play for Sparta,” said Smak, who left a top-fit impression in the krone.tv interview (see above) after weeks of training in the US. He has not yet had a good look at his opponent Vlad Ivashenko. “I haven’t examined him intensively yet. But it is important to know your opponent: how big is he, what is his special punch and how does he move.” Facts that he will work out with his coaching team. His nickname is definitive: the Ukrainian mammoth!
On the paper form, Smak is clearly the favorite. Of his previous 22 fights, the Croatian native won 20, 18 by knockout. Ivashenko, on the other hand, is a newcomer. He left his only fight to date as a loser.
The fact that the room in Schwechat is once again on the boil is probably thanks to Patrick Rainer. The fighter favored by SK Rapid Wien will meet Umut Birdal, who won his only professional fight to date. The full program can be found in the image (above).
