Found on the Enns – Unknown body in Lower Austria: Police ask for information

Date:

In February 2023, a body was discovered on the embankment of the Enns near St. Pantaleon in Lower Austria. The identity of the unknown man has not yet been clarified, which is why the police are now asking for information with police photos.

The forensic autopsy revealed no evidence of foul play in the death of the unknown person. The time of death was probably several months before the discovery. Apparently the man committed suicide, the LPD Lower Austria announced on Saturday.

Face reconstructed using skull bones
All extensive investigations to clarify the identity have so far been negative. The Saxony-Anhalt State Police was requested to provide police assistance. An expert there then performed soft facial tissue reconstruction using the skull bone. Mugshots could be taken in this way.

The wanted person is a man approximately 1.68 meters tall and his age is estimated between 55 and 75 years old. He had about 6 inches long, light to gray and slightly wavy hair. The upper and lower jaws were toothless.

Considering the size of her clothes, she was probably a fairly thin person. Police are not ruling out the possibility that the person belongs to the homeless community based on their overall appearance.

Information about the identity of the person should be sent to the State Police of Lower Austria, Investigative Support Department, telephone number 059133-30-3333.
