Passport torn – Viennese man attacked by girlfriend, threatened with knife

Date:

A 31-year-old man alerted the police in Vienna-Favoriten on Saturday evening because his partner had attacked him several times and threatened him with a knife during an argument. An entry ban was issued against the woman.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the man with minor injuries to his head. The officers wanted to call the emergency services, but the 31-year-old refused.

Beaten and kicked
Apparently a break-up conversation had fully escalated: the man described that his 29-year-old partner had attacked him with punches, kicks and shoves and threatened him with a knife. She also tore up his passport and then left the apartment.

Temporary weapons ban
A short time later, the 29-year-old Austrian returned and was temporarily arrested. An entry and approach ban and a temporary weapons ban were issued against them. The murder weapon was not found.

According to police, the suspect refused to make a statement during interrogation. She was reported in general on behalf of the Vienna public prosecutor’s office.
