A 13-year-old was apparently attacked and injured by several other girls in Vienna-Donaustadt a week ago. Police confirmed that threats had previously been made against the student. An investigation is now underway into suspicions of physical harm and dangerous threats.
Early on Monday afternoon last week, the victim was allegedly pushed, hit and kicked in the area of Breitenleeer Strasse by at least three teenage girls – some of whom are known to the police. “The girl complained of pain in her face and upper body,” said police spokeswoman Barbara Gass.
Threats via mobile phone
The 13-year-old then came to a police station, accompanied by her parents, to report assault. Furthermore, a report was filed in connection with a dangerous threat from one of the suspects. The threat is said to have been made a few days earlier via mobile phone.
Family considers changing schools
According to media reports, the attackers waited hidden behind cars for the 13-year-old, who they then attacked and beat. It was said that out of fear of the bullies, the family considered having the victim change schools.
