A fatal accident occurred in the Oberpullendorf district on Monday. A 55-year-old man was run over by his tractor for an unknown reason. The police investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
The accident happened on a freight route between Stoob and Großwarasdorf. A hiker discovered the seriously injured man, who was unconscious and trapped under the rear tire of the tractor. He managed to move the tractor forward and free the 55-year-old. He also immediately began CPR and started the rescue chain with another man.
Although helpers and the C16 emergency medical helicopter quickly arrived at the scene of the accident, all help for the 55-year-old came too late. The man died on the spot from his serious injuries. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
