Sad news from the clinic in Innsbruck: the 83-year-old German who was hit by a Hoftrac on Monday in Going am Wilden Kaiser (Kitzbühel district) has died from her serious injuries.
The accident happened on Monday afternoon. According to the police, a 49-year-old hotel employee was bringing several parasols to the hotel terrace with a self-propelled work machine – a so-called Hoftrac.

“He drove into the car park with the parasols in the front scoop and intended to turn towards a hedge. “Immediately after turning, he overlooked three walkers coming towards him,” the driver reported on the day of the accident.
One of the women, an 83-year-old German who was using a walker, was hit by the vehicle. She fell backwards and suffered serious head injuries.
The injuries were too serious
After initial care, she was first admitted to St. Johann Hospital and then transferred to the clinic in Innsbruck. The woman died there on Tuesday, the police announced.
