Tragic traffic accident on the Radlpass road in Lannach: a 73-year-old motorcyclist hit a car while overtaking, left the road and crashed into an earth bank. Despite immediate first aid measures, the Eastern Styrian succumbed to his serious injuries at the scene of the accident.
On Wednesday morning, a 73-year-old motorcyclist from the Weiz district rode on the Radl Pass towards Deutschlandsberg. The motorcyclist overtook a car near Lannach (Deutschsberg district), but, according to the police, probably did not keep enough distance and hit the car with the side case of his motorcycle.
The 73-year-old slipped, left the road to the right and crashed into an earth bank. After about 20 meters the man stopped lying in a meadow.
Witnesses immediately provided first aid and an emergency medical team attempted to resuscitate the lifeless man. But all help came too late for the seriously injured man and he died at the scene of the accident.
