An accident occurred on Wednesday morning at an intersection in Wunschendorf (Weiz district). A 68-year-old driver missed the red light and crashed into the car of a 22-year-old, who then crashed into a traffic light. Both women had to be taken to hospital.
On Wednesday morning around 8 a.m., a 68-year-old motorist from the South-East Styria region was driving on the B 68 from Wunschendorf towards Hofstätten an der Raab when she apparently missed the red light at a traffic light. She could no longer brake fast enough and collided with the oncoming car of a 22-year-old from the Weiz district.
Both women injured
The 22-year-old’s car then skidded and she crashed into a traffic light pole. When the police arrived at the scene of the accident, the two women were already receiving first aid. Both were taken to the Weiz LKH with injuries of an undetermined nature. The fire brigade has repaired leaks at the intersection.
