The brutal attack by seven young men at the train station in Bischofshofen shocked the people. Four suspects have already been arrested. The three others have also turned themselves in.
As announced by the Salzburg police, the three previously fugitive suspects have now been arrested. The two 16- and 17-year-old Serbs and the 19-year-old Bosnian turned themselves in to the police on Thursday. On the orders of the Salzburg Public Prosecutor’s Office, they were transferred to the Salzburg prison, just like the four previously arrested suspects.
A 21-year-old Kosovan man was robbed at Bischofshofen train station on Sunday and his head was so badly injured by punches and kicks that he had to be briefly put into an artificial deep sleep. According to information from the University Hospital of Salzburg, the man was then responsive again and on the road to recovery.
According to information from “Krone”, it was probably not a spontaneous attack, but the later victim was actually hunted by the perpetrators. But the police would neither confirm nor deny this.
The four suspects arrested on Tuesday are two 16-year-old Austrians, an 18-year-old Slovenian and a 19-year-old Turkish man. Surveillance camera footage led to the arrest of the young men, who were known to authorities.
