Between Tuesday 4pm and Wednesday 8pm, brazen thieves stole two bee mating boxes and their valuable contents: two queen bees of the Carnica breed!
The two mating boxes were parked in a forest near the Pitztaler Landesstraße L16 in Jerzens, Niederhof. Inside were the valuable contents: two queen bees of the Carnica breed. But unknown perpetrators stole both bee mating boxes between Tuesday 16:00. Now the police are asking for information.
Hard to see from the street
The stolen boxes are made of light brown polystyrene and measure approximately 30 cm x 15 cm x 18 cm. There is a ventilation grille on the front. They were placed on two wooden stands and were difficult to see from the street. The stolen bee mating boxes are hand-marked on the bottom by the owner.
