The last time an acute disgust alarm sounded in Linz was in September 2023, when – as reported at the time – a grocer stocked up on tons of rotten kebab skewers in the backyard, which were fortunately discovered in time. The Food Inspectorate is now dealing with a completely different case, but no less tasty for that.
Well, meal! On Thursday, the “City Market” at Linzer Landstrasse 78 was – as reported – not only a problem with the city council, but also in the eyes of the authorities, after the operator there every day filled his sales area around the sidewalk in front of the store with sometimes overflowing mesh baskets, boxes, cartons or pallets that were stacked meters high. He was warned and told to clean up the mess immediately.
