A 51-year-old farmer suffered injuries on Saturday afternoon while on her way to load bales of hay with her wheel loader.
A 51-year-old woman drove off the road with her wheel loader on Saturday afternoon at around 3:30 p.m. while she was coming from Berg im Drautal towards Greifenburg to load bales of hay onto the trailer in a meadow.
Crashed into a tree with a wheel loader
“On the dirt road, in the same municipality, the 51-year-old drove too close to the edge of the dike, whereupon the ground gave way and the wheel loader rolled to the right over the dike and crashed into a tree,” the police said. The woman was able to free herself from the wreckage, but was injured to an undetermined extent in the accident and had to be flown to the Villach LKH by the rescue helicopter “RK1”. There was considerable damage to the wheel loader.
