A man in Seekirchen was seriously injured on Monday when a gas cylinder caught fire and a small explosion occurred. The rescue helicopter was called into action.
A man from Flachgau was seriously injured on Monday when a gas bottle exploded. Gas had leaked from the bottle at a snack stand near the Seekirchen high school and was set on fire.
Witnesses noticed the incident and extinguished the fire before the Seekirchen volunteer fire brigade arrived.
The injured person received first aid and was then taken to the state hospital in Salzburg by the medical emergency helicopter “Martin 1”.
Two Red Cross vehicles and the Seekirchen volunteer fire brigade were on site.
