A man from Flachgau put himself and his two-year-old child in mortal danger on Saturday afternoon. Both were injured when the man fled from the police. He had a reason to want to escape from the police.
As part of a routine check on the L245 national road in Eugendorfberg, the police wanted to arrest a driver on Saturday afternoon. But he ignored the stop signs, sirens and blue lights.
Crashed into a dike
Instead, the Flachgauer continued to spiral out of control. In a left turn, the driver suddenly left the road and drove further into an adjacent meadow. There, he crashed into an embankment when he tried to get back onto the highway.
Driver does not have a driver’s license
The man had his two-year-old child in the car. Both were injured. Rescue workers took father and child to the Salzburg State Hospital. Why did the 34-year-old endanger his own life and that of his child? According to the police, he does not have a driver’s license and therefore wanted to avoid the check. The Flachgauer is shown.
