On Sunday morning, the 56-year-old motorcyclist and his wife (55), both from Slovakia, were on the B 97 from Murau towards St. Georgen am Kreischberg. “In a right-hand bend, the motorcycle skidded on the soaked road,” is how the state police describe the course of the terrible accident.
The machine crashed into the left side of an oncoming car driven by a 35-year-old from Vienna, and then into another car driven by a 62-year-old Viennese.
Passenger fights for her life
The driver of the motorcycle was fatally injured by the impact. His wife was seriously injured and is fighting for her life in the Klagenfurt State Hospital. The two drivers were unharmed.
