On Friday, the Poolbar Festival in Feldkirch (Vorarlberg) entered its 31st edition. Founder Herwig Bauer explains in an interview how he has to leave the old behind each year.
“Crown”:The Pool Bar Festival has a new start every year because it is shaped differently each time. What has the ‘Generator’, the creative laboratory, produced this year?
Herwig Bauer: The theme this year is ‘over and gone’, which reminded the graphic artists of the past. Times that are simply gone. And so Teletext came to mind, this instrument from the past. The architecture of this edition of the festival is based on playing with curtains. This means that spaces can be hidden, reduced or enlarged – without fencing. Instead of strict borders, this year we work with this elegant solution that is also very functional. Efficient and aesthetic at the same time.
