A 66-year-old suffered two deep cuts while working on a meadow in Schetteregg on Monday morning after his leg was hit by a mower. The man had previously tried to loosen the cutting tool.
While the 66-year-old was working with the motor mower in a meadow in Schetteregg, a piece of grass or moss suddenly got caught in the beam mower. However, the farmer kept the machine running. He locked the clutch on the left handlebar of the mower and tried to free the grass from the mowing tool.
Injury to the calf
Suddenly the clutch was released and the mower started to move. The man’s left leg got stuck in the cutting tool. The farmer suffered two deep cuts on his calf. After initial care by the Egg rescue team, he was flown to Dornbirn city hospital by the emergency medical helicopter “Christophorus 8”.
